Go, Dog. GO! at EMU theatre

Hi everyone! Here is some info on the show I am working on. It should
be super fun, and I think our kiddos will like it a lot.

WHAT: "Go, Dog. Go!" Based on the beloved children's book by P.D.
Eastman, musical adaptation by Steven Dietz and Allison Gregory with
music by Michael Koerner
WHEN: December 2 & 9 at 7 p.m. December 3, 4, 10, & 11 at 2 p.m.
WHERE: Quirk at Eastern Michigan University.

Go, Dog! Go is a lively adventure for the young and the
young-at-heart! Go, Dog! Go follows the antics of several colorful
dogs who behave an awful lot like humans– driving cars, getting jobs,
having parties and wearing hats! Audiences will enjoy the high energy
of these canine characters playing baseball, singing, dancing,
juggling and riding everything on wheels they can find!

Running time is approximately 75 minutes.

Ticket prices for the EMU Theatre 2011-2012 Mainstage season are:
$15 regular admission
$12 for students
$9 for MAINSTAGE patrons
$7 for children

Halloween/ Trick or Treating

Hello! As you know, we usually get together before we go round the block with the kids to show off the costumes and collect some candy. Since we all started at Jason and Tori's, and Jeff and Katie hosted last year, I figured we would host the starting point this year. We will have dinner- chili to warm everyone up before we go out. I was thinking we could eat at 5:30 and go trick or treating at 6-6:30ish. Probably just going around one block will do it. You can come when you can any time after 4. We will play pin the eyes on the pumpkin and mummy wrap, and have a scavenger hunt. Then we will take a group photo around 6 before we set off. Let me know if we can expect you and if that time works.

Meet Up Group

This is the link to my meet up group. There are tons of great families with great kids from newborn on up. This has been an awesome way for us to meet a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. We have made some wonderful friends and there are always fun things going on like field trips, crafts and playdates. It's 12 bucks for the year. You are allowed to join for 30 days and go to meetups before deciding if you want to join. You can go to as many or as few as you'd like. Totally worth it! I wanted to post this because most of the events we do are through the group. For example, one meet up coming up is next week (Saturday the 29th) is to carve pumpkins and trick or treat at Kerrytown at 11am. We also have a giant Halloween party on that same day. http://www.meetup.com/AA-Parents-Group/

Halloween Events

TOMORROW Saturday the 22nd, Logan and I are going to the Halloween Spooktacular at the Botanical Gardens. It's inside and costs $7. We went to an event here a few weeks ago (to the scarecrow building workshop and made Ooondi, the scare girl you may have noticed in our yard) and I was super impressed with what was provided and the staff. Plus it was gorgeous out so we spent some time afterwards in the children's gardens. Here are the details for tomorrow: Dress up in your best costume and have a scary good time at our Halloween Spooktacular! Paint pumpkins and gourds, scoop out pumpkins for pumpkin seed treats, make paper masks and decorations, and finish up with cookies and roasted pumpkin seeds! $7 per child.
Location: Matthaei Botanical Gardens 10am sharp!

Also, we are attending story time at the downtown library followed by trick or treating on Main St. on Halloween day beginning at 10:30. Here are the details: this is the link for the story time, we are going to the early one. http://annarbor.com/events/halloween-storytime-halloween-party/ This is the parade we are doing directly afterwards: http://annarbor.com/events/main-street-area-halloween-treat-parade/

Pumpkin Patch Trip

Zander and Lainey are planning a trip to the pumpkin patch for pumpkins, cider, and doughnuts, this Sunday at 3:00. We are going to visit Three Cedars Farms if anyone would like to join them.
